An accomplished dancer, singer and actor, Lindsay has performed and taught throughout Canada. As an adjudicator he has worked with the N.I.Festival of Performing Arts, Pacific West Festival, Danceworks Victoria, Fort St. John, Chilliwack and Kamloops Festival of Performing Arts. Teaching credits include Harbour Dance Centre, Van Tap Dance Society, Capilano College and several other West Coast studios.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Music (Voice Performance) and Diploma in Theatre Arts. He has studied tap intensively and in masterclasses with Brenda Bufalino, Dianne Walker, Heather Cornell, Roxane Butterfly, Lane Alexander, Cindy Kerr, Germaine Salsberg, Jim Hibbard and Lisa Hopkins. Lindsay’s musical theatre credits include roles with the Arts Club, Showcase Festival, Chemainus Theatre Festival, Gateway Theatre, Vancouver Playhouse, Pangaea Arts, Modern Baroque Opera, Ophidian, Pacific Opera Victoria, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Theatre Calgary, Citadel Theatre, Stage West and the Charlottetown Festival.
More recent performances include “Hero” tapper in the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies and Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain for Theatre Under the Stars and he is a regular soloist for tap events featuring Canadian artists.
In 2015, Lindsay was awarded the West Coast Tap Collective’s Teacher Scholarship which took him to New York City to study at the Manhattan Tap Intensive with Heather Cornell. Lindsay is co-artistic director for CYMC’s Musical Theatre Program where he has choreographed many musicals including Catch Me if You Can, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Shrek the Musical and Les Miserables. Lindsay has also choreographed 4 seasons with the Yellowpoint Christmas Spectacular. For the past eleven years Lindsay has been Artistic Director and owner of Pantuso Dance in Courtenay, BC.
Ballet and Modern Adjudicator
Taylor Dolan is a Vancouver-born dance artist. Taylor began dancing at a young age training with Spiral Dance Co. Her professional career started at the age of twelve, where she danced for Disney, Nickelodeon and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Taylor continued to pursue her passion for dance, joining the ballet-contemporary company Lamondance Season II in 2010 under the artistic direction of Lara Barclay, Monica Proenca and Davi Rodrigues. At the age of seventeen Taylor debut her first choreographic work at the Vancouver Global Dance Project under the mentorship of some of Vancouver’s most respected contemporary dance artists. That same year she danced in music videos for various recording artists such as K-OS, Keisha Chante and Sean Desmond. Soon after she began her first adjudicating tour across Canada, and has since adjudicated internationally.
While Taylor resided in London UK she danced with The Greenwich Contemporary Dance Company. She trained musical theatre performers in dance for their West End debuts such as The Lion King, Annie and Miss Saigon. Some of her other European credits include performing at the Much Music Video Awards in Amsterdam, the Tanzart Festival in Germany, and guest teacher and adjudicator at Danza Fiera in Florence, Italy. After illuminating years of performing and teaching abroad, Taylor returned to Vancouver. She was the 2015 Stage II & III BC Provincial Adjudicator upon her return and has recently concluded work with The Response Dance Society under the artistic direction of Amber Funk Barton.
She is currently teaching at studios in the Lower Mainland and tours between Canada and Europe to lead workshops and adjudicate. Taylor continues to be recognized for her choreography in the competitive dance industry and is humbled to have the opportunity to raise the next generation of dancers. For Taylor every aspect of contributing to the dance community is her passion and privilege, and she continues to focus on the creative elements of dance.
