The 2017 Prince George Dance Festival is celebrating it’s 41st year as part of this community. It is an adjudicated festival where dancers receive feedback after performing, as well as have the opportunity to win prize money, provincial placements and scholarships. Our 2017 festival runs from March 11 through to the 17th at Vanier Hall. There are approximately 500 participants in our festival that come from all over Northern BC. Audience members will enjoy genres such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop, song & dance and cultural specific.
Ages categories for participants run from 6 years old all the way up to adult categories. Sessions run from 8:30 in the morning until 9:30 at night with solos and duos during the day sessions, and groups at night. Friday, March 17, is the Gala evening which will be a mixture of dance styles and ages that highlight the adjudicator’s choices. Tickets for the Gala must be purchased in advance at the venue during the festival.
Photographs from the event are available from Clarke Action Photography.
